This story on Oral Sex and rise in Men's Throat Cancer on ABC News.

Extract.

" For years now, doctors have urged young women to be vaccinated against the human papilloma virus (HPV), which is believed to cause cervical cancer.

But now, growing research in Europe and the United States is implicating HPV in a rising number of cases of head and neck cancers in men, and many doctors are recommending that all boys be vaccinated as well."

Click here for the story and video coverage.

We have long lobbied and campained for the vaccination of boys against HPV and both boys and girls to be vaccinated with Gardasil. Gardasil offers better protection across many of the strains of HPV, more than Cervarix used on girls in the UK.

With the JCVI committee gone as part of the cull of the quangos it will prove more difficult to make the case but make it we must!
